messy men play dirty blues
Sad news from the Crusties
Stuart Lynch
Sadly We must tell you of the death of Stuart Lynch, the original Crusties guitarist and a great friend to us all.
Due to health concerns, Stuart had retired from playing, and returned to his home town of Glasgow. Stuart was always a huge presence and a unique and powerful guitarist who was fundamental in the development of the band, and the Crusties will never be the same without him.
We will be playing a memorial gig for Stuart in our spiritual home, the Onda, very soon.
Roger Chucklefoot
We are sorry to have to tell you that Roger Chucklefoot, who fronted the Crusties between 2008 and 2010, has gone to big band room in the sky.
Roger was a talented multi-instrumentalist and one of the funniest men you could ever meet, with a huge smile and infectious laugh, and will be sadly missed.
Last event:
Friday 19th December – A Crusty Christmas – Bar Onda, Barão de São Miguel – map
We were back in the Onda with our new line up featuring multi-instrumentalist Ben Morfitt. With Ben on board we are a proper local band again. Lots of fun and a load of new numbers – this was one not to be missed.
Algarve blues band the Campo Crusties play blues, R’n’B, soul and rock classics.
Based in the wild west of the Algarve, we’re available to play our unique flavour of funky blues at your party, event or bar in the Algarve, Portugal or southern Spain.
After a 6 year hiatus, the Crusties are back – we just couldn’t forget how much fun it all was! To get our fingers and aching joints moving again we played a few private parties, and now you can catch us out and about in bars and other assorted dives in the West Algarve.
